Anti-Ragging Policy

DECTE maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging in any form — physical, verbal, psychological, or through electronic means. Any act of ragging is a punishable offence as per UGC Regulations 2009 and can lead to expulsion, criminal proceedings, and FIR registration.

What Constitutes Ragging?

Any disorderly conduct towards new or junior students
Asking students to perform tasks causing shame or embarrassment
Physical abuse, assault, or use of criminal force
Verbal abuse, teasing, or name-calling
Demanding money, valuables, or services
Sexual harassment or inappropriate advances
Cyberbullying, defamation on social media
Any act that causes psychological trauma

Every student admitted to DECTE signs an anti-ragging undertaking along with their parent/guardian. This undertaking is submitted online at antiragging.in and a physical copy is maintained in the college records.
