About SC/ST Cell

The SC/ST Cell is constituted as per UGC guidelines to safeguard the interests of students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. The cell ensures equal opportunities, addresses grievances related to discrimination, and monitors proper implementation of reservation policies.

Functions of SC/ST Cell

Monitor implementation of reservation policy in admissions
Address grievances of SC/ST students related to discrimination
Ensure timely disbursement of scholarships and fellowships
Provide guidance on government schemes for SC/ST students
Maintain records and submit compliance reports
Conduct awareness programmes on rights and entitlements
Liaison with District SC/ST Welfare Office
Report to university and UGC as required
