Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to all fees paid online or offline to Daying Ering College of Teacher Education (DECTE) for admission, tuition, examination, and other academic charges.

2. Admission Fee Refund

• Before classes commence: Full refund of tuition fee minus a processing charge of ₹1,000. Admission application fee is non-refundable.
• Within 15 days of classes commencing: 75% refund of tuition fee paid for that semester.
• Between 15 to 30 days after classes commence: 50% refund of tuition fee paid for that semester.
• After 30 days of classes commencing: No refund.

Note: This is in compliance with UGC guidelines on refund of fees. Specific cases may be governed by Rajiv Gandhi University regulations.

3. Non-Refundable Fees

• Admission application fee
• Examination fees (once remitted to the university)
• Library security deposit (refundable only upon course completion and clearance)
• Certificate fees for documents already issued

4. Cancellation of Admission

Students wishing to cancel their admission must submit a written application to the Principal's office along with original admission receipt and identity proof. The refund timeline mentioned above applies from the date of receipt of the cancellation request.

5. Duplicate/Failed Payment

If a payment is debited from your account but not confirmed on our system, or if a duplicate payment is made:

• The amount will be automatically refunded within 5-7 working days to the original payment method.
• If not refunded automatically, contact us with transaction details for manual processing.

6. Refund Processing Time

• Refund requests are processed within 15 working days of approval.
• Refunds are credited to the original payment method (bank account or payment source).
• Bank processing may take an additional 5-7 working days.

7. How to Request a Refund

Submit a refund request with:

• Student name and admission/application number
• Payment receipt or transaction ID
• Reason for refund request
• Bank account details for credit

8. Delivery of Services

DECTE provides educational services only. No physical goods are shipped. Academic services including classes, examinations, certificates, and access to facilities are delivered at the college campus. Online services including notices, downloads, and portal access are available immediately upon login.
